Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Mate/Improver to join our team. This role involves assisting qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks within various electrical systems. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, practical skills with hand and power tools, and a genuine interest in developing their electrical expertise. This position offers valuable experience in the electrical trade and the opportunity to grow within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Support electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assist with wiring, conduit installation, and other electrical tasks.
Assist in preparing work sites by organising materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Help with the testing and inspection of electrical components under supervision.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Report any issues or hazards encountered during work to the supervising electrician promptly.

Experience

Practical experience using hand tools and power tools is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Previous exposure to electrical work or related trades is an advantage but not mandatory.
A strong interest in developing electrical skills and knowledge is essential.
Basic understanding of electrical systems or coursework related to electrical engineering is beneficial.
Candidates should demonstrate reliability, willingness to learn, and good organisational skills.
