Apprentice Care Home Administrator
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Care Home Administrator to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop valuable administrative skills while working towards a recognised business administration qualification in a rewarding care environment.
As an Apprentice Care Home Administrator, you will support the day-to-day administration of the care home, helping to ensure the office runs efficiently while providing excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls and welcome visitors professionally.
- Maintain accurate resident and staff records.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and general office administration.
- Support invoice processing and basic financial administration.
- Order office supplies and maintain stock levels.
- Assist with staff rotas, training records, and recruitment paperwork.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Ensure confidential information is handled in accordance with GDPR and company policies.
- Support managers with administrative tasks as required.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable.
