Summary

Join The Lost Kitchen as an experienced front of house and bar team member in our vibrant restaurant located in the UK. Your role will be essential in delivering exceptional service and supporting our commitment to quality culinary experiences.
Responsibilities

Guest Service:
Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, ensuring they feel comfortable and welcome. Provide recommendations, and answer any questions about dishes, drinks, or specials.
Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and quality.
Anticipate guest needs, providing attentive service while respecting their personal space.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Assist in preparing the dining area before service, including setting tables and arranging menus.
Communicate effectively with the team to handle special requests or dietary requirements.
Menu Knowledge:
Develop a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
Stay informed about daily specials, promotions, and wine pairings to provide informed recommendations.
Operational Support:
Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Assist in stock management for front-of-house supplies, such as cutlery, glassware, and napkins.
Handle payments accurately and securely, ensuring a smooth checkout process for guests.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Adhere to company policies, including food safety and alcohol service regulations.
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages to customers.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
Support food safety and hygiene standards.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Manage time efficiently during busy service periods.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Uphold the restaurant’s standards and contribute to a positive environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Knowledge of food safety regulations.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills for handling transactions.
A passion for seasonal and wood-fired cuisine is a plus.
