We are looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to join our team and help improve and evolve our digital customer experience through UX improvements, front-end development and website optimisation.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong front-end development experience with a passion for user experience and web design. You will be confident reviewing existing website journeys, identifying opportunities to improve usability and accessibility, and working collaboratively to deliver practical solutions.
Working closely with our marketing, creative and technical teams, as well as external development partners, you will play a key role in improving our websites and creating engaging, accessible and effective experiences for our customers.

- Work on key digital projects including improvements to booking journeys and mobile optimisation.
- Build, update and optimise responsive website components across CMS and ecommerce platforms.
- Translate design concepts into effective front-end solutions using modern web technologies.
- Provide input and constructive feedback on website designs, ensuring solutions are user-focused, accessible and practical.
- Carry out browser, device and responsive testing to ensure consistent experiences across platforms.
- Investigate and resolve front-end issues, identifying improvements to website functionality and performance.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external development partners to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
- Share knowledge, provide guidance and support best practice within the team, including mentoring junior colleagues.
- Contribute to ongoing website improvements, reusable components and optimisation activity.
We are looking for someone with strong commercial experience building and improving customer-facing websites. You will have a strong understanding of UX/UI principles and enjoy working across both design and development.
You will have:
- Extensive experience in front-end development or a similar web development role, with a strong understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive web design.
- Strong experience with HTML and CSS.
- Experience with JavaScript would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile optimisation and accessibility standards.
- Experience reviewing websites from a user experience perspective and identifying practical improvements.
- Experience working collaboratively with designers, marketers, developers and external partners.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance technical considerations with customer needs.
- Experience with CMS and ecommerce platforms, website performance optimisation, analytics, SEO considerations and modern front-end frameworks would be advantageous.
- Management experience is not required; however, you should be comfortable sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and helping others develop their skills.
- Reliable and enthusiastic, you will be organised, collaborative and confident working independently to identify improvements and deliver high-quality digital solutions.
