Full job description

We’re looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to join our Private Client team at our Chippenham office. You’ll be working directly with two lawyers and a fellow legal assistant, supporting them with administration and secretarial tasks on will, trust, probate and estate files.

Daily duties will include:

Audio typing and compiling letters and documents using digital dictation software
Diary management to include arranging meetings and appointments
Completing standard forms and document collation
Opening files and database input
Preparing bills and file notes
Setting up and managing electronic transfer of funds
Taking incoming calls as part of Central Telephony
General administration and office duties (to include reception cover)
Willingness to provide occasional cover at any Goughs office when the need arise.

We’re looking for someone who has previous secretarial or PA experience. Prior experience of working within Private Client legal practice area is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Strong communication skills are key as you will be liaising with colleagues, clients and further parties.

Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills are key.

Pay: £24,750.00-£28,360.00 per year
