Mandarin Stone is a leading importer of natural stone and porcelain products in the UK. We are a family run business that has grown into a very successful and reputable company within the industry. Our Head Office is based in the beautiful Wye Valley in the Welsh border town of Monmouth. We have 16 inspirational showrooms across the UK and we currently have numerous vacancies across our sites & showrooms.

Imports Assistant

Monmouth

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to undertake administrative tasks to support the importing process. The successful candidate will offer high levels of accuracy and attention to details, be flexible with a hands-on approach to support the team.

Duties include:

– Preparing all information required for the accounting and invoicing process.
– To process and enter packing lists provided by suppliers to enable the stock delivery process to run smoothly.
– Provide delivery updates and lead times to the relevant staff.
– Liaise with suppliers to establish lead times and relay this information to the relevant staff.
– General administrative duties.
– To deliver a courteous and professional service to clients.
– To keep our data base and systems up to date.

About you

You do not need prior industry experience before you join as we provide a comprehensive training programme to familiarise you with our processes, however experience of working in an imports or goods in environment would be beneficial.
We look for people that thrive in a fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, have the ability to prioritise tasks, have excellent communication both written and verbally, high levels of organisation and accuracy and be computer literate with a good understanding of maths.

Working hours

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm and 9.00am – 12.30pm on alternate Saturdays or 1 in 3 Saturdays 9.0am – 12.30pm. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
