About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our school team, working within our Resource Provision supporting children with a range of SEND. The ideal candidate will support and deliver high-quality education through the effective creation, organisation, and management of learning resources tailored to our pupils' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and delivery of learning materials and resources to enhance student engagement and progress.
- Develop, organise, and manage educational resources to support curriculum requirements across different subjects.
- Planning lessons and adapting materials to meet the diverse needs of pupils, with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Work with small groups or individuals to provide targeted support and facilitate learning.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to inform planning.
- Contribute to behaviour management and safeguarding policies, ensuring a supportive and safe learning environment.
- Maintain learning spaces ensuring materials are accessible, organised, and aligned with teaching plans.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to identify resource needs and opportunities for improvement.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role, preferably in resource provision.
- Experience of working with high need pupils.
- Ability to create and adapt educational materials effectively.
- Strong understanding of curriculum and different learning needs.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., HLTA status, Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
