Your experience should demonstrate:
1. Commercial & Strategic Thinking
- Understands the business strategy, not just the people agenda
- Can translate business goals into practical people plans
- Uses data, insight and trends to influence decisions
- Balances team members experience with commercial reality
- Understands how people decisions impact performance, customers and profitability
2. Strong People Partnering Experience
- Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing at leadership level
- Able to challenge constructively and act as a trusted adviser

- Moves beyond “HR service provider” into strategic partner
3. Culture & Engagement Leadership
- Passionate about building a high-performing culture
- Experience embedding company values and behaviours
- Can create initiatives that improve engagement, belonging and team member experience
- Understands that culture is created through leadership capability, communication and everyday actions
4. Organisational Design & Change Management
- Experience supporting growth, transformation or restructuring
- Can adapt roles and ways of working for future needs
- Supports leaders and team members through change effectively
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business
5. Talent, Performance & Capability Building
- Ability to identify skills gaps and future talent needs
- Supports succession planning and career development
- Drives & supports performance conversations and accountability
6. Employee Relations Expertise
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident managing complex ER cases
- Provides pragmatic, balanced advice
- Reduces risk while maintaining a people-focused approach
7. Leadership Influencing
- Supports team leader development
- Challenges behaviours that don’t align with values
- Builds leadership confidence and capability
- Influences without relying on authority
8. Data & Insight Led
- Uses HR metrics to tell a story, such as:
- engagement trends

- Turns data into action and measurable improvements
