Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing & Social Media Assistant to join our dynamic team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in public relations and social media management while supporting our organisation’s marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing our brand presence across various digital platforms, engaging with our community, and assisting with promotional campaigns. A keen interest in marketing trends and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Tiktok
Create engaging content including posts, stories, and videos that reflect the organisation’s brand voice and values.
Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities; respond promptly and professionally.
Support the organisation’s public relations efforts by preparing press releases, media kits, and organising outreach activities.
Analyse social media metrics to evaluate campaign performance and suggest improvements for future initiatives.
Collaborate with team members to plan promotional events or campaigns that increase visibility and engagement.
Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in digital marketing and social media tools to optimise content delivery.

Experience

Previous experience or strong interest in social media management is highly desirable.
Knowledge of public relations principles and experience in maintaining positive organisational relationships is advantageous.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to different audiences.
Organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Familiarity with social media analytics tools and basic graphic design software is a plus but not essential.

Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
