Paralegal – Employment Law
With a view to commencing a Training Contract within 6 months (time to count)
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Employment Paralegal to join our growing Employment team, with a clear pathway to commence a Training Contract within 6 months, subject to performance. Time spent in the role will count towards your period of recognised training.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is committed to developing a long-term career in employment law and is keen to gain high-quality, hands-on experience before commencing their training contract.
The Role
You will support fee earners on a broad range of employment matters, including:
- Advising employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment issues
- Assisting with Employment Tribunal claims and case management
- Drafting contracts of employment, policies, and settlement agreements
- Preparing bundles and witness statements
- Legal research and preparing advice notes
- Direct client contact and attendance at meetings
You will play an integral role in the team and will be given early responsibility, with structured supervision and mentoring to prepare you for your training contract.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has completed the LPC or SQE (or is close to completion)
- Has previous paralegal experience in employment law (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrates strong academic achievement
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Is commercially aware and client-focused
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Is seeking a long-term future with the firm
