Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills within a dynamic environment, ensuring every guest enjoys their experience. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and have a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
Handle customer orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces regularly.
Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Process payments using the point-of-sale system, handling cash or card transactions securely.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
Uphold health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
Taking out hot food to customers supporting back of house.
Supporting back of house with cleaning.

Skills

Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure hygienic practices are maintained.
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy.
Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently and accurately.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
