We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused Banqueting & Events Assistants to join our team.
About the Role
As a Banqueting & Events Assistant, you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding service across a variety of events. Working alongside our experienced team, you'll help ensure every event runs smoothly while providing a warm, professional experience for our guests.
This is a casual, ad hoc role, with shifts offered according to our events calendar. Working hours will vary depending on weddings, private functions, and corporate events. We aim to provide good advance notice of upcoming shifts, allowing you to plan your availability wherever possible. This role is ideal for those seeking flexible work that fits around other commitments.
Your duties may include:
- Serving breakfast, lunch, wedding breakfasts, evening meals, and buffet service.
- Providing food and beverage service during weddings, private events, and corporate events.
- Assisting with bar service, including preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Setting up and resetting event spaces and dining rooms.
- Clearing tables and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout service.
- Welcoming and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Working closely with the kitchen and events teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Following food hygiene, licensing, and health & safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, particularly during the wedding season.
- Previous hospitality, waiting, bar, or banqueting experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Driving Licence
Due to the rural location of Fasque Castle and the limited availability of public transport, a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport would be highly beneficial. While not essential, applicants who can travel independently will find commuting to the venue significantly easier.
