Union Quay Dental is a fully private dental practice located on the historic Fish Quay in North Shields. Following a complete refurbishment of our Grade II listed waterfront building, we now operate from a state-of-the-art facility with nine modern surgeries, an in-house laboratory, and some of the most advanced dental technology available.
With over 900 five-star Google reviews and a reputation for exceptional patient care, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Treatment Co-ordinator to join our growing team.
About the Role
This is a patient-focused role at the heart of our practice. As our Treatment Co-ordinator, you will be the first point of contact for many new patients and will play a key role in guiding them through their treatment journey.
You will work closely with our clinicians to help patients understand their treatment options, answer questions, overcome concerns, and support them in making informed decisions about their dental care.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified dental nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about delivering an outstanding patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and supporting new patients throughout their journey with the practice
- Conducting new patient consultations
- Explaining treatment recommendations and associated costs clearly and confidently
- Presenting treatment plans and finance options
- Following up with patients who are considering treatment
- Building rapport and helping patients feel comfortable and informed
- Managing patient enquiries via telephone, email and in person
- Coordinating appointments and treatment schedules
- Working alongside clinicians to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Monitoring and managing treatment plan conversion rates
- Maintaining accurate patient records and communication notes
- Assisting with marketing events, open evenings and patient engagement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- GDC-registered Dental Nurse
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Professional and confident manner
- Positive, proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong IT and administrative skill
Desirable:
- Previous Treatment Co-ordinator experience
- Experience within a private dental practice
- Knowledge of finance options and treatment presentation
- Sales or customer service experience
- Radiography qualified
- Digital scanning experience
- Clinical Photography experience

Working Hours
We operate a shift system:
Early Shift: 7:45am – 3:00pm
Late Shift: 12:45pm – 8:00pm
Friday: 7:45am – 3:00pm
Saturday: Approximately one per month on a rota basis
