What we’re looking for
- A genuine love for animals, with experience as a pet owner and/or in a similar role.
- A reliable, self-motivated person seeking a long-term, permanent role (ideally Monday–Friday).
- Commitment to building lasting relationships with both our human and canine clients.
- A smartphone and confidence using it for communication, updates, and sending photos.
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Your own insured, taxed, and MOT-checked vehicle.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication skills (with both people and pups!).
- DBS and reference checks for client peace of mind.
Pay
This is a self-employed, commission-based role. Earn between £12.00–£16.00 per hour, depending on the number and type of walks completed.
Hours
As a self-employed walker, you can choose hours that suit you. Most client demand is Monday–Friday between 10:00–15:00, with additional opportunities outside these hours based on client needs. We ask for at least 2–4 hours per day (Monday–Friday) to ensure consistency for the dogs.
Who this role is ideal for
This position is perfect for anyone working around school runs, as most walks fall between 10:00 and 15:00. It also suits those who are semi-retired, retired, work from home, have another part-time job, or are simply looking for meaningful, flexible work.
You must be able to work within Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Stubbington, and Fareham.
