Due to continued growth, Park Lane Windows is looking to recruit either an experienced Installation Manager or an experienced Window & Door Fitter who is ready to take the next step into management.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with extensive industry knowledge who understands quality installations, enjoys solving problems and has the leadership skills to manage installation teams whilst maintaining the high standards our customers have come to expect.
Park Lane Windows is a well-established, family-run home improvement company specialising in replacement windows, doors, conservatories and lightweight tiled conservatory roof conversions. We have built an outstanding reputation across Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties for quality products, exceptional workmanship and excellent customer service.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our installation department, ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Working closely with our surveyors, office team, suppliers and installation teams, you will oversee projects from survey through to customer sign-off.
For the right candidate, full support will be provided if you are moving from a senior fitting role into management.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and managing the installation schedule.
- Coordinating employed and subcontract installation teams.
- Ensuring installers have the correct products, materials and information.
- Monitoring workmanship, productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Carrying out site inspections and quality control visits.
- Assisting with technical queries and installation issues.
- Managing remedial and after-sales work.
- Liaising with customers throughout the installation process.
- Working closely with surveyors, suppliers and the office team.
- Ensuring all work complies with company standards and Health & Safety requirements.
- Managing outstanding works and ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Supporting and mentoring installation teams.
- Reporting directly to the company directors.
Who We're Looking For
We would love to hear from applicants who are either:
- An experienced Installation Manager.
- A Contracts Manager within the home improvement industry.
- A Senior Lead Window & Door Fitter looking to progress into management.
You should have:
- Extensive experience fitting uPVC and aluminium windows and doors.
- Strong technical knowledge of domestic installations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to lead and motivate installation teams.
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Good customer service skills.
- Confidence dealing with technical and on-site issues.
- Basic IT and administrative skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience with conservatories, conservatory roof replacements and wider home improvement products would be a distinct advantage.
