The role

Located in the heart of Crowborough, Specsavers Crowborough is a welcoming, community-focused store dedicated to providing outstanding eye and hearing care. Our friendly and experienced team is passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a supportive and professional environment. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive workplace where colleagues are encouraged to develop their skills, work collaboratively, and build rewarding long-term careers while making a genuine difference to our customers.

£8.20 per hour
37.5 hours in including weekend requirement

Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully-fledged Optical Assistant.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

You have GCSEs in Maths at grades 9–4 (A*–C), or an equivalent qualification
You’ve lived in the EU for at least 3 years and have the right to work in the UK
You’re not currently enrolled in another government-funded course

Welcoming customers into store
Booking in eye tests
Pre-screening patients
Providing style advice
Measuring frames
Taking phone calls
