Youth Team Leader Oldham / Failsworth
Experience in Youth Supported Accommodation / Children's residential (Preferred)
Care & Community Ltd are currently recruiting a Youth Team Leader to act as an appropriate role model working closely and supporting 16–18-year-olds in embracing their independence and developing key life skills after leaving the care system in a supportive, nurturing environment.
As we provide 24/7 support to our young people, we are looking for a flexible Youth Team Leader to support with a range of shifts we are looking for including days, evenings and weekends. You will receive , up to 28 days holiday (dependent on full time or part time), and full training and support.

As a Team Leader, you will:
· Provide a caring, supportive environments in which young people feel secure and have full emotional support.
· Establish relationships with our Young People which meets and develops their emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs.
· Support the Service manager with the management and supervision of other Youth Support Workers
· Being aware and adhering to policies and procedures
· On-call cover (rota basis)
For this role you will have achieved, or be prepared to work towards:
· Children and Young Peoples Workforce – Level 3 (QCF) or equivalent
· Care & Community Training Programme
This role may be suited to those with experience as a Support Worker, Support Team Leader, Youth Worker, Youth Mentor, or someone with a natural sense of empathy that is open to problem solving and thinking outside of the box. And most importantly someone who wants to make a difference, to see the best in people and has a strong commitment to always promoting the rights of each young person.
A full driving licence and access to a car is desirable, but not essential.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
