Glendale Mouldings require a production operator to work in our plastics injection moulding facility in Glenrothes.
Normal working hours are: Early shift - working 6am - 2pm (Monday to Thursday) and 6am to 1pm (Friday), or Day shift - working 8am - 4.30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8am - 1pm (Friday).
Applicants must be capable of working either shift pattern.
Person Profile:
- Experience of working as Production Operator within manufacturing organisation, preferably including ‘Hygiene’ environment
- Experience of injection moulding or other plastic processing desirable, but not essential
- Capable of learning new skills quickly
- Numeracy and literacy skills are essential in order to accurately complete relevant paperwork
- Willing to contribute to a team-working philosophy
Key Tasks:
- Operate production machinery with due care and attention to quality of the parts
- Perform secondary operations to match desired cycle time
- Record production data correctly and accurately on production documentation
- Identify and report faults with production parts or machinery
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures
This opportunity will initially be temporary for three months but may lead to a permanent position for suitable candidates.
