Office Assistant (Part-time, Maternity Cover – 1 Year)

Each week, our office supports hundreds of students and families across classes, productions, examinations, showcases and events. Behind every class, production, and opportunity is a friendly office team that keeps everything running smoothly.
We're looking for an enthusiastic Office Assistant to join us on a one-year maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in administration within a creative organisation. Whether you're taking your first step after school, college or university, or you already have office or customer service experience, we're looking for someone with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to become part of our team.
About the role
You'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the academy, supporting our students, families and teaching staff while helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
The role is primarily office-based and includes managing student administration, responding to enquiries and maintaining accurate records. Alongside your daily responsibilities, you'll also support productions, examinations, showcases, audition days and other academy events throughout the year, making every week a little different.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming students, parents and visitors to the academy
- Managing student enrolments and programme administration
- Maintaining student records, accounts and programme information
- Responding to enquiries by email, telephone and in person
- Supporting productions, examinations, showcases and academy events
- Assisting with social media and academy communications
- Providing general administrative support across the academy

- Can manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing
- Are confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
- Enjoy working as part of a friendly, collaborative team
- Have previous office, administration or customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
- Have an interest in performing arts (beneficial but not essential)

Weekly hours: 32 hours per week
Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Working times: 9.00am – 6.00pm
Some evening and weekend work will be required during key academy events, including audition days, parent evenings, showcases and our summer and winter productions.
Salary
£22,568 – £24,960 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro rata for 32 hours per week, depending on experience.
