Location: Ilminster, Somerset
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

Working alongside our sister company, Aqua Eden – our Water Garden Centre and Design Studio – you'll join a friendly, ambitious team delivering exceptional projects across the region.
We're looking for an experienced landscaper who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in producing high-quality work and is ready to play an important role in building award-winning waterscapes.
The Role
This is a hands-on role for an experienced landscaper who understands how projects come together and can work confidently with minimal supervision.
You'll be involved in every stage of our pond and water feature builds, from excavation and groundwork through to planting and the finishing details that make every project exceptional.
You'll be expected to think ahead, support the build sequence, maintain high standards of workmanship and contribute to a safe, organised and productive site.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and follow the build sequence of ponds and water features.
- Work efficiently within the team including solo tasks.
- Safely operate a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Assist with heavy plant excavation works and hand dug ground preparation.
- Install pond liners and underlay to a high standard.
- Assist with plumbing, pipework and filtration installation.
- Carry out planting of aquatic and terrestrial plants.
- Complete finishing works including edging, mulching and site detailing.
- Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas throughout each project.
- Care for company vehicles, machinery and tools, ensuring they remain clean and serviceable.
- Represent DU Waterscapes professionally when working on clients' properties.
- Carry out our regular VIP pond maintenance visits
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous landscaping or hard landscaping experience.
- Good understanding of how landscape construction projects are delivered.
- Ability to work proactively without constant supervision.
- Confident using hand and power tools safely.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
- Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling.
- Positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Pride in producing high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Desirable Experience
- Excavator, dumper or mini loader experience.
- Hard landscaping including paving, decking or stonework.
- Plumbing or irrigation experience.
- Horticultural or aquatic plant knowledge.
- Experience working around ponds or water features.
- Trailer towing experience.
