Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Fenestration Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the window and door industry and be capable of managing all technical aspects of fenestration design from concept through to manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce and review technical designs, drawings, and specifications for aluminium, timber, and uPVC window and door systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant Building Regulations, PAS 24, Approved Documents, and industry standards.
Provide technical support to sales, design, manufacturing, and installation teams.
Review structural requirements, thermal performance, weather performance, and security specifications.
Liaise with architects, contractors, suppliers, testing houses, and certification bodies.
Manage product development, testing programmes, and certification processes.
Resolve technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions throughout project delivery.
Support procurement and manufacturing teams with technical documentation and production details.

Requirements:

Proven experience within the fenestration industry.
Comprehensive understanding of window and door design, manufacture, testing, and compliance.
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, PAS 24, U-values, acoustic performance, structural calculations, and CE/UKCA requirements.
Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
Experience with CAD software and fenestration design systems.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

£70,000 basic salary
