Full job description

Location: East London

Job Type: Part Time (4 hours per day)

Work Days: Monday - Friday (Onsite)

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting month-end activities, and ensuring the smooth running of administrative functions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Process purchase invoices, supplier payments, and staff expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
Raise sales invoices and credit notes as required.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
Support credit control activities, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on overdue payments.
Assist with VAT preparation and other financial reporting requirements.
Support month-end and year-end finance processes.
Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and reconciliations using Microsoft Excel.
Maintain accounting systems and ensure data accuracy at all times.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding financial queries. and confidential approach when handling financial information.
Experience supporting audits and compliance activities. a willingness to learn and develop. experience.

Education & Qualifications:

AAT Level 2, Level 3 or currently studying towards an AAT qualification.
2+ years experience within a finance or accounts department.
NVQ, Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar finance systems.
Strong numerical and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
