We’re looking for a Casual Duty Fitness & Wellbeing Coach to join our team at The Space Health & Fitness in Dartington. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive environment where members can achieve their goals and feel part of a community.

The Role

As a Duty Fitness & Wellbeing Coach, you’ll be at the heart of the club, ensuring a safe, welcoming and motivating environment for all.

You’ll be responsible for:

Supporting the day-to-day operation of the club and member experience
Delivering fitness inductions, programmes and classes
Welcoming new members and assisting with tours and enquiries
Upholding health and safety standards at all times
Acting as Duty Manager on shift

This role will include evening and weekend working, as well as lone working responsibilities.

About You

You’ll bring a positive, proactive approach and a genuine passion for helping others improve their wellbeing.

You’ll have:

A Level 2 Fitness Qualification (or willingness to work towards)
Experience in a fitness or leisure environment, with some supervisory responsibility
A customer-focused, friendly and professional approach
The ability to take ownership and lead shifts confidently

Essential:

First Aid at Work Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Fire Marshal qualification (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification
Strong leadership and coaching skills
