Job Overview - 4/6 Sessions

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) to join our reputable medical practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to a diverse patient demographic, including those requiring specialised care such as senior, hospice, and home care. This role offers an opportunity to utilise a broad range of clinical skills within a supportive environment committed to delivering high-quality patient care. The GP will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to community health initiatives, ensuring patients receive holistic and personalised treatment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient consultations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of acute and chronic health conditions across all age groups.
Prescribe medications accurately, administer treatments, and monitor patient progress.
Coordinate with specialists for advanced procedures such as medical imaging or ICU referrals when necessary.
Provide specialised care in areas such as public health, nursing home, senior care, hospice, and home care settings.
Engage in clinical research activities to support evidence-based practice improvements.
Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies tailored to individual needs.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Stay updated with current medical guidelines, advancements in anatomy knowledge, and emerging healthcare trends.

Experience

Proven experience as a General Practitioner within a busy clinical environment.
Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and their application in primary care settings is advantageous.
ICU experience or exposure to critical care environments is desirable but not essential.
Experience working within public health initiatives or community-based programmes is beneficial.
Proficiency in medical imaging interpretation or collaboration with radiology teams is preferred.
Prior experience providing patient care in nursing homes, senior care facilities, hospice settings, or through home visits will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and managing complex cases involving multiple comorbidities is essential.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining excellent patient rapport.
