Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our dynamic construction and civil engineering team. In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of site activities, ensuring that projects progress smoothly and safely. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute directly to the successful completion of construction tasks, supporting skilled tradespeople and maintaining a safe working environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, setting up barriers, and organizing materials
Support skilled workers by carrying tools, equipment, and supplies around the site
Help with excavation, digging, and groundwork tasks as directed by supervisors
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the work area by removing waste and hazards
Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks and storage areas
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Support the team during various construction activities to ensure timely project progress

Requirements

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
Prior experience in construction or manual labour is advantageous but not mandatory
Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites is preferred
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
