Phillips Joinery is a long-established specialist joinery manufacturer, designing, making and installing bespoke joinery for residential and commercial customers across the UK.
We are looking for a practical, reliable and proactive Delivery Driver / Workshop Facilitator to support the day-to-day running of our Ashbourne and Derby sites.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining driving and deliveries with workshop support, maintenance and general facilitation. You’ll help make sure materials, products and equipment are where they need to be, while also helping keep our sites clean, organised, safe and well maintained.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering finished joinery to customers and sites, collecting materials from suppliers, and transferring products between our Ashbourne and Derby workshops
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and helping ensure materials and products are in the right place at the right time
- Keeping workshops, yards, storage and communal areas clean, tidy and organised
- Carrying out general handyman, maintenance and minor repair tasks around both sites
- Supporting with waste management, incoming deliveries, moving materials and general workshop housekeeping
- Helping the wider team with practical tasks to keep both sites running smoothly
This is very much a “see it, sort it” role. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in keeping things organised, spots jobs that need doing and is happy to get stuck in.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Practical and comfortable carrying out basic handyman tasks
- Proactive and able to work without constant supervision
- Physically able to assist with loading, unloading and moving materials
- Careful when handling high-quality finished products
- Friendly and professional with customers, suppliers and colleagues
Previous experience in driving, construction, manufacturing, maintenance or a similar practical role would be useful, but attitude and reliability are more important than specific experience.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
If you enjoy practical work, like variety and are the sort of person who sees something that needs doing and gets on with it, we’d like to hear from you.
