Full job description

Desmond Motors is the largest family run Ford Dealership in Northern Ireland and have been in business for over 60 years. We have recently successfully invested in BYD & Geely and are the one-stop-shop for all motoring needs. Our business is expanding and we are seeking a new Parts/Warehouse Operative

Parts/Warehouse Operative

We are looking for an experienced Parts/Warehouse Operative who is a good team player and will be a champion for customer service delivery through the efficient coordination of warehouse stock. As the Parts/Warehouse Operative you will have the ability to understand the necessity of customer service and work to deadlines.

Main Duties include:

Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts
Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner;
Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge;
Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations.
Driving a delivery van when quired

The ideal candidate will have a great track record working in a fast paced warehouse environment.

What you'll need to succeed:

Must have 5+ years of experience working in a parts department
Computer literate – able to use appropriate systems and software e.g. Excel
Ability to record information accurately and legibly
Ability to work well under pressure
A good team player
Work efficiently with good attention to detail
Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines
Good communication skills
Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
A full clean driving licence
Be able to lift and carry heavy items

Working Hours, Monday to Friday
