We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and customer focused receptionist to join our dedicated team at the Sport Centre.
Are you a friendly and professional individual who thrives in a customer-facing role? We’re looking for a Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Sports Centre — someone who can create a positive first impression and deliver excellent service to all visitors.
In this key role, you’ll handle a wide range of enquiries efficiently and professionally, while actively promoting Centre memberships, activity schemes, and current offers to both new and existing customers.
You’ll be working in a supportive and positive environment where strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. To succeed, you’ll need to be confident managing bookings, handling cash, and completing general administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Hours – 24 hours across two weeks.
Salary – £9,252 per annum
Please note: Due to the nature of the Centre’s operations, all roles will involve a mix of morning, evening, and weekend shifts to ensure reception coverage during all opening hours.

Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools have long been associated with the very best of modern independent education, especially boarding. After accommodating the educational and social demands of the pupils the School is eager to develop wider access to the Centre and encourages participation by local community in a range of Sports and Leisure activities organised and managed by the Centre’s staff.
Our State of the Art Sports Centre offers a wide range of classes, fitness facilities and activities on a commercial basis, as well as numerous courses, children’s holiday clubs and organised parties. Our facilities include a 50-metre swimming pool, an 8-court hall, a 70-station fitness suite, a dedicated dance studio and three further multipurpose studios.
