Full job description

WPS are seeking a highly organised and proactive Document Controller to join our Planned Works Division. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth management and control of documentation across a portfolio of social housing projects. You'll be based in Oldham but will be expected to travel regularly to project sites and regional offices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control, and accessibility.
Liaise with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely document flow.
Support project managers with document tracking and reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal and external document control standards.
Set up and manage document control systems for new projects.
Attend site visits and meetings to support documentation needs.

Requirements:

Proven experience in document control within construction or housing sectors.
Familiarity with planned works and refurbishment projects.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office.
Willingness to travel across North West of England.

Desirable:

Experience working on social housing projects.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory documentation in construction/the built environment

Travel:
This role requires regular travel to various project sites and offices within the North West so a full UK driving licence is preferred.
