Supply Chain Analyst – Retail Allocation & Range
Ziggicig
Location: Mallusk, Newtownabbey
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 42 hours per week
Salary: £30,000–£34,000 per year
About the Role
We are looking for a commercially minded Supply Chain Analyst to join our Supply Chain & Buying team in Mallusk.
This is a varied and influential role combining retail allocation, stock management, range planning and product performance analysis across our retail stores and online channels.
You will play a key part in deciding what products we stock, where we stock them and how much stock each location needs.
Rather than simply producing reports, you will be expected to use data to make recommendations and take action – identifying opportunities, improving availability, managing ranges and helping ensure our investment in stock is in the right products and the right locations.
You will work closely with our Buying team to ensure purchasing and allocation decisions are aligned, giving you exposure to the full journey from identifying new products through to analysing their performance after launch.
For someone who enjoys working with numbers but also wants to be involved in real commercial decision-making, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of an important area within a growing business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage stock allocation and replenishment across our retail stores and online warehouses.
- Ensure the right products are available in the right locations at the right time.
- Analyse sales, stock and SKU performance across stores, ranges and channels.
- Identify fast-selling products and ensure stock is directed towards areas of greatest demand.
- Identify slow-moving and underperforming products and recommend appropriate action.
- Manage product ranging across our retail estate and online channels.
- Review which products and SKUs should be listed, expanded, reduced or discontinued.
- Support the identification, introduction and rollout of new products.
- Work closely with Buying to align purchasing decisions with actual sales and stock requirements.
- Analyse stockholding, rate of sale, weeks of cover and availability.
- Produce clear and useful reporting on product, stock and range performance.
- Support new product launches, promotions and seasonal activity.
- Identify opportunities to improve stock turn and reduce excess or slow-moving inventory.
- Monitor performance following new product launches and range changes.
- Help continually improve the way we manage stock, allocation and ranging across the business.
About You
You will enjoy working with data but, importantly, you will also be comfortable making decisions from it.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Analytical and confident working with sales, stock and product data.
- Commercially minded with a good understanding of what drives retail performance.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable managing and analysing a large number of SKUs.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to spot trends, problems and opportunities within data.
- Proactive and willing to take ownership rather than simply report information.
- Comfortable making recommendations and challenging existing decisions where the data supports it.
- A strong communicator who can work effectively across Buying, Retail, Warehouse and other teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Experience
Experience in any of the following areas would be particularly relevant:
- Retail merchandising.
- Retail allocation or replenishment.
- Supply chain or inventory analysis.
- Stock planning.
- Buying or buying administration.
- Range or category management.
- Multi-site retail.
- E-commerce.
- FMCG or another high-SKU environment.
- Data analysis or commercial reporting.
You do not necessarily need experience in all of these areas. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong analytical ability, good commercial judgement and the drive to take ownership of the role.
Why Join Ziggicig?
This is not a role where you will simply maintain spreadsheets or produce reports for somebody else to make the decisions.
You will have the opportunity to directly influence:
- Which products we stock.
- How our ranges develop.
- Where stock is allocated.
- How new products are launched.
- How we respond to changing customer demand.
- How effectively we use our investment in inventory.
You will join a fast-moving business where good ideas can be implemented quickly and where strong performance can lead to increased responsibility and career development.
If you have experience in supply chain, retail merchandising, allocations, stock planning, buying or commercial analysis and are looking for a role where you can have a genuine impact, we would like to hear from you.
