Full job description

This role is term time, which means that the gross annual salary advertised will be reduced proportionately based on the number of weeks worked during the academic year. Term time employees are contracted to work 38 weeks per year.

Please note that the full time equivalent for this position is 37 hours, so roles advertised with contracted hours less than 37 will be classed as part time. The gross annual salary advertised will be reduced based on the part time hours.

Could you be the person who helps students stay on track, push their potential, and achieve more than they thought possible? Join University College Isle of Man (UCM) as a Senior Education Support Officer - Progress Tutor!

You will provide focused pastoral support, acting as a coach to guide, support and challenge students throughout their time at UCM. Working closely with learners, you will address study progress, attendance and future employability, giving clear advice and encouragement to help each student get the very best from their experience.

You will use your ability to build strong relationships and provide tailored support to make a real difference to individual students. At UCM, you can apply your skills in coaching, guidance and pastoral care within an environment where students are at the centre of everything we do.
