We have a fantastic opportunity to join our UK Team within our Frozen Division working wihin our Technical Team at our site in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
This role would be suitable for someone who has experience working within a food manufacturing business in a Quality Assurance role.
Hours are Monday - Friday 08.00 - 16.00 (flexibility required to suit business needs)
Key Responsibilites wil include;-
- Ensuring the quality, safety, integrity and compliance of raw materials, ingredients and packaging and their associated processes.
- Supporting the Technical Manager with administrative requirements of monitoring supplier performance
- Conducting checks on incoming goods to ensure they meet purchasing specifications, performing sampling and inspections against requirements of our divisional Qualtiy Control plan.
- Reporting of the specification materials, document and issue non-confromances raised and follow up corrective actions with internal teams.
- Manage and update the raw material intake tracker
- Perform required calibration/verification of test equipment as assigned
- Create and maintain intake sheets for raw material assessment
- Collect prepare and send samples for microbiological and chemical testing via the relevant laboratory sytstems, ensuring sampling plans are carried out as per site and divisional requirements amd reviewing of results alongside the technical manager/technical team to enable release of materials
- Organising and conducting site taste panels working closely with other departments.
Person Specification
- Excellent IT Skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Office 365)
- Effective communication skills (written and oral)
- Experienced in creating, updating and issuing of documentation
- Good understanding of QA principles
- Able to work effectively within a team environment and also on own intiative
- Proactive and self motivating
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and meet the demanding deadlines of the role
