Job summary
This is an exciting role front of house, working closely with clinical colleagues to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.
The role requires someone who has a great level of attention to detail and good organisational skills for managing in a busy environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for dealing with colleagues, patients and families.
The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
The post holder will be required to greet patients and visitors on the ward, as a first point of contact. They will admit/discharge and transfer patients on an in-house database, contributing to patient flow, answer telephone enquiries, arrange transport for patients and support the clinical team with accurate data entry. Maintain accurate patient records, electronic and paper, ensuring all documentation is filed and stored in accordance to trust policy. Communicate with ward multi-disciplinary teams and external partners. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the reception area is tidy & well organised and that office supplies and stationery are ordered and kept stocked up.
