Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper and Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Previous hotel experience is highly desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry in a supportive and professional setting.
Duties
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and organise laundry items efficiently
- Ensure all laundry is handled with care to prevent damage or colour bleeding
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning routines
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with stock control and inventory management for cleaning supplies and laundry materials
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks efficiently throughout the shift
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, including weekends if required
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent service
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow established procedures
