Overview
We are seeking a skilled Solar PV Electrician to join our dynamic renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. They ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for sustainable energy and electrical work to contribute to environmentally friendly projects. The position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, proficiency with hand and power tools, and relevant electrical experience. Key Responsibilities
- Install, connect, and commission solar PV systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Install inverters, batteries, switchboards, and electrical protection devices.
- Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and cable termination.
- Test and inspect solar systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in solar PV systems and associated electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and system performance checks.
- Complete installation reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and installation teams.
Qualifications
- Licensed Electrician or equivalent electrical certification.
- Current ECS Gold Card (Installation or Approved Electrician)
- 18th Edition, Amendment 4
- Solar PV and battery installation and maintenance
- Experience with solar PV installation and maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with inverters, battery storage systems, and monitoring equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Certification in working at heights and first aid is an advantage.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
