Location: Midlands (Nationwide Travel)
Salary: £30,000–£45,000 per year (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About Us

We are a growing fire safety company providing high-quality fire protection solutions to commercial, industrial and construction clients. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Fire Systems Engineer to join our team.

This is a varied role involving the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of a range of fire safety systems, with opportunities to develop your skills across multiple disciplines.

The Role

As a Fire Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
Installing, testing and maintaining emergency lighting systems.
Installing and maintaining temporary wireless fire alarm systems on construction sites.
Commissioning, servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure systems remain fully operational.
Completing service reports and certification accurately using digital systems.
Ensuring all work complies with current British Standards and relevant fire safety regulations.
Providing excellent customer service while working on client sites.
Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicles to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of emergency lighting systems.
Full UK driving licence.
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your workload.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A positive attitude with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Desirable:

Experience with temporary site fire alarm systems.
Experience commissioning and servicing portable fire extinguishers.
FIA, BAFE or other relevant fire industry qualifications.
ECS or CSCS card.
IPAF or PASMA certification (advantageous but not essential).
