We're looking for a sales professional to join our Newspaper Sales team in Basildon, leading a small team of telesales executives while remaining hands-on with your own sales activity. This is an opportunity to combine sales coaching, team leadership and direct selling in a flexible part-time position. You'll play a key role in helping grow newspaper subscriptions, supporting your team to achieve results while earning commission on your own performance. As Subscription Telesales Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day performance of a small telesales team while personally delivering subscription sales through outbound calling activity. You will provide coaching, guidance and support to help your team achieve targets, whilst also contributing directly to overall sales performance through your own results. This role offers a balance of leadership and sales, making it ideal for someone who enjoys motivating others whilst remaining commercially focused.

Supervise and support a team of part time telesales executives
- Monitor daily and weekly sales activity and performance
- Provide coaching, feedback and ongoing development support
- Personally generate new subscription sales through outbound telesales activity
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to wider team goals
- Ensure all sales are completed accurately and compliantly
- Monitor order quality, customer retention and sales performance trends
- Produce weekly sales reports and performance updates
- Participate in call quality monitoring and coaching sessions
- Ensure all company policies, procedures and data protection requirements are followed
We're looking for someone who can lead by example and bring energy, organisation and sales experience to the team.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous telesales, sales or contact centre experience
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supervising others
- A proven ability to achieve sales targets and deliver results
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Confidence working with sales reports, KPIs and performance data
- A positive, supportive and motivating approach to team leadership
- Good attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience
