Full job description

Music school Rhythm Room seeks a passionate, enthusiastic piano teacher to join our team and teach at our private music school in Bletchley, Milton Keynes for £25 per hour.

There is currently 7 x 30 minute one-to-one piano lessons on a Saturday, exact hours on a Saturday are flexible. We have regular enquiries for piano lessons so are confident the right applicant will build up a student base further.

We can offer you:

opportunities to see the fruits of your labour by seeing your students perform at our yearly concerts, held at a popular music venue;
an online booking system, simplifying administration of bookings and communication with customers.

The ideal candidate will:

be an excellent teacher, with experience of teaching and performing;
be able to read music and teach music theory, (experience with the Rock School and Trinity grading systems is a bonus);
live fairly local to Bletchley and able to easily commute to our site;
have a good work ethic;
work well in a team environment;
be willing to offer free taster lessons;
have a valid DBS certificate – or be willing to undergo a new application;
have Child Protection training or be willing to take a short course.

Rhythm Room Ltd is committed to safeguarding children and young people. Our interviews will always include relevant questions relating to child protection and/or safeguarding. Additionally, successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check and other appropriate vetting checks.
