Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, seasonal Housekeeping Assistant to join our small team from August until end of October. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike.

Duties

Clean and sanitize guest rooms, communal areas, and workspaces according to established standards
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish supplies as needed
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues promptly
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within allocated timeframes
Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Support with basic cooking or food preparation tasks if required for specific roles or events
Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and enquiries
Perform janitorial duties such as waste disposal, floor care, and surface cleaning in both public and private areas

Skills

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour for delivering outstanding customer service
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
