What you’ll be doing
As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.
Key responsibilities

Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing

Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.

Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.

Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.

Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.

Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)-
Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)

Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.

This role sits across our centrally located Cambridge store, just a short walk from our neighbouring store. Lions Yard is a premium‑focused practice offering ranges such as Polaris and Lindberg. The city centre is a beautiful place to work, though parking is limited, so most staff use Park & Ride, public transport including trains, or walk/cycle. The team includes two resident part‑time optometrists, a pre‑reg joining in July, a DO, an SDO and a strong group of optical consultants.
