Priory Hospital Newbury, located Berkshire, is a level 2 rehabilitation service which supports male adults with mental health needs, who are working towards a life back in the community.
We are well-placed to accept patients who need higher levels of care and intensive therapeutic support, as well as those stepping down in acuity.
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Support qualified Psychologists in delivering high-quality psychological assessments, interventions and person-centred care to patients.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients, co-facilitating groups and delivering low-intensity psychological interventions under supervision.
- Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing psychological perspectives to patient care and recovery planning.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, assist with outcome measures, and support service evaluation, audit and research activities.
- Receive regular clinical supervision and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will hold a Psychology degree (minimum 2:1) and ideally have graduated with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Previous experience working in a mental health, healthcare or social care setting is desirable, along with a sound understanding of psychological theory and evidence-based practice.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive therapeutic relationships with patients and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong organisational skills, the ability to maintain accurate clinical records and effectively manage competing priorities are essential, as is a compassionate, professional approach and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
