Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier/Bookkeeper to join our firm! This is an opportunity to join the business on a part-time basis (around 24 hours per week), providing an efficient and effective account support to the firm.

At the start of the employment, the successful candidate will be required to work from our Exeter-based office to ensure they receive appropriate training and support. As they become established in the role, we are open to exploring hybrid working arrangements. We also offer flexibility around working hours and would be happy to consider alternative arrangements, such as school-hours working or mornings-only, depending on the needs of the candidate and the role.

Responsibilities include:

Processing transactions on behalf of the firm and its clients
Using and supporting the operation of the firm’s accounting systems
Issuing invoices and Credit Control
Completing bank reconciliations
Taking card payments over the phone
Supporting the processing of purchase and sales ledgers
Other general accounts and cashiering duties

What we are looking for:

Previous experience within a similar Legal Cashier/Bookkeeping role
Strong communication
Proficient in technology and computer skills
Great at multi-tasking
Experience using Xero
