Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Import/Export administrator to support our international shipping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the import and export processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and optimising logistics to enhance efficiency. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners.

Duties

Manage the end-to-end import and export processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate timely shipments.
Prepare and review shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Develop and implement strategies to optimise shipping costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions for auditing purposes.
Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and tariffs that may affect operations.
Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, finance, and legal to support business objectives.

Requirements

Proven experience in import/export management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade compliance.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills to assess shipping costs and logistics performance.
Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
