Full job description

We are a rapidly growing legal technology provider offering access to a unique range of products and services to legal professionals.

We believe in delivering an unrivalled customer experience and are looking for a Customer Success Administrator to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be organised, with good communication skills in written and spoken English and have a friendly and polite telephone manner.

This is the perfect opportunity for a Maths or Business graduate who would like to gain accounting and credit control skills. Ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and looking to develop their career within a finance environment. The role requires strong administrative skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

About the role:
The Accounts Assistant supports the day-to-day financial administration of the Estatesearch Group. Working closely with the Bookkeeper and wider Operations team, the role assists with maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, credit control activities, and ensuring financial information is recorded in a timely and accurate manner.

Key responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Administration

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software (Xero).
Process purchase invoices and ensure they are correctly recorded within the accounting system.
Assist with the preparation and issuing of sales invoices.
Support bank and credit card reconciliations by matching transactions and identifying discrepancies.
Maintain organised financial records and filing systems, both electronic and paper based.
Provide administrative support to the Bookkeeper and external accountants as required.

Credit Control & Cash Management

Assist with monitoring customer accounts and outstanding balances.
Support credit control activities by contacting customers regarding overdue payments via email and telephone.
Allocate incoming payments against customer accounts and invoices.
Update debtor records and maintain accurate customer account information.
Produce basic debtor reports and escalate concerns to the Bookkeeper.

Process Improvement & Support

Support the continuous improvement of finance processes and administrative procedures.
Act as a point of contact for routine finance-related enquiries.
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date finance procedures and records.
Carry out general finance and administrative duties as required by the business.
Support the Bookkeeper and management team with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements.

Person specification:

Experience and Knowledge

Excellent IT skills, including Excel, (essential)
Experience of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage), and CRM systems (desirable).
Experience of working independently in a finance role (desirable).
Proven experience in bookkeeping, including purchase and sales ledger management (desirable).

We are recruiting for a, full-time, office based position working 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.
