About the firm

Shepherds Chartered Tax Advisers & Accountants is an established but small business in the heart of Falmouth. We're looking for a dynamic, organised, motivated person willing to use their own initiative to get the job done.

We have a reputation for a friendly, informal and professional service with a willingness to go the extra mile for clients.

About the role

Opportunity to be a key part in an expanding team.

Job role will focus on a wide range of clients. Duties to include –

Bookkeeping and quarterly MTD tax returns
Preparation of VAT returns
Support with preparation of payroll services
Liaising with clients

The successful candidate will have a strong background in an accountancy practice environment.

They will have commenced their studies in AAT. Further study will be fully supported by the firm.

Job Type: Full-time or part time, all considered

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, flexibility considered

Ability to commute/relocate:

Falmouth TR11 2DA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Bookkeeping and/or accounting: 2 years (preferred)
