Role Summary

UK Connect seeks a Sales Development Representative to act as the first point of contact for prospective customers, playing a vital role in turning interest into opportunity. Working with a consistent flow of leads generated in-house by our Marketing team, youll engage with businesses across the Construction sector, understand their connectivity challenges and qualify opportunities for our Sales Team.

Youll build relationships, ask insightful questions and identify where UK Connects solutions can add value. By accurately qualifying opportunities in line with our process and maintaining a well-managed pipeline, youll help drive revenue growth. While youll benefit from strong Marketing support, youll also have the opportunity to identify your own prospects. Our lucrative bonus scheme rewards high-quality sales leads, excellent CRM discipline and successful self-generated business that becomes new UK Connect customers.

Youre organised and proactive, maintaining accurate records while managing multiple opportunities effectively. Whether your experience comes from Sales, customer service or another client-facing role, youre motivated to learn, develop and demonstrate the skills, attitude and ambition to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Engagement & Qualification: promptly contact and engage marketing-generated leads building relationships with prospective customers and qualifying opportunities against an agreed criteria.
Opportunity Development: Understand each leads needs, identify their connectivity and technological requirements and create high-quality sales opportunities for the wider Sales Team.
CRM & Pipeline Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM, ensuring all customer interactions, next steps and details are captured to support effective pipeline management and reporting.
Collaboration & Handover: Work closely with the Sales Team and Marketing to provide feedback and ensure quality opportunities are handed over with clear customer requirements, context and commercial potential.
Prospecting: Proactively identify and engaged new prospects within UK Connects targets sectors with additional incentives available for successfully generating new opportunities.
Product & Solution Awareness: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of UK Connects connectivity solutions and the challenges faced by businesses within the Construction industry.

Experience in a customer-facing, sales, business development or customer service role is advantageous but we welcome applicants who can demonstrate the transferrable skills and ambition to skill.
