Vehicle Technician / Mechanic – Immediate Start Available

M&A Motor Centre – Gillingham, Kent (ME7 5TP)

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

Pay: £28,750 - £40,716 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Immediate Start Available

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Sunday: Closed

Join Our Team

M&A Motor Centre is a busy, well-established independent garage with an excellent local reputation. Due to increasing workload, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our friendly team.

We work on a wide variety of makes and models, carrying out everything from routine servicing to major mechanical repairs and diagnostics. If you're looking for a long-term role in a busy, professional workshop where your work is recognised and valued, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts, exhausts and engine work.
Carry out MOT preparation checks and complete any required repairs.
Use diagnostic equipment to accurately identify faults.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

What We're Looking For

At least 2 years' workshop experience (or equivalent).
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Experience with diagnostics and modern vehicle systems is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Full UK Driving Licence.
NVQ Level 2/3 (preferred but not essential).
