The Role

We're seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner to support our Property Directorate on a permanent, full-time basis, providing financial insight, robust reporting, and business partnering support that helps drive value for money across Eastlight.

In this role you’ll:

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Help deliver accurate statutory returns and support the annual audit process.

Provide financial analysis and insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Build strong relationships with budget holders and colleagues across the business.

Contribute to financial projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and supports business performance.

What we're looking for:

AAT part-qualified (or equivalent).

Experience preparing management accounts, journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Understanding of key accounting principles and financial controls.

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.

Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.

Confident communicator, able to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance colleagues.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Housing sector experience is desirable but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance business partnering skills, work closely with senior stakeholders, and make a real impact within a collaborative and supportive finance team.

£44,358 per annum
Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week
Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employee’s contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum – Subject to eligibility
Trailblazing family leave (Maternity, Paternity and Adoption – 12 weeks full pay/6 weeks half pay) – Subject to eligibility
A healthcare cash plan, life assurance
Formal qualifications and paid professional membership
