Contract: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hrs/week, including some evenings/weekends on rota
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, compassionate Assistant Manager to work alongside our current Manager, Team Leaders, and Care Support Workers. You’ll help lead day-to-day operations, ensure CQC standards are met, and support our team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with daily running of the service
- Line manage Team Leaders and Care Support Workers; run supervisions & appraisals
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and rota management
- Lead by example on shifts and provide hands-on support when needed
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety
- Handle family liaison, complaints, and multi-agency communication
- Deputise for the Manager during absences and contribute to audits & quality checks
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care minimum; Level 5 preferred or working towards
- At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in a care setting
- Strong knowledge of CQC KLOEs and regulatory requirements
- Confident in leading teams, problem-solving, and making decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and IT skills for care planning systems
- Enhanced DBS required – we can process this for you
