Overview

Join our team as a FORS Compliance / Administrator and play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. In this dynamic position, you'll oversee the implementation and maintenance of FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) standards, manage compliance documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your proactive approach will help us uphold industry best practices while fostering a culture of safety and excellence across our operations.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update all FORS compliance records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of documentation.
Conduct regular audits to verify adherence to FORS standards and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate with operational teams to ensure fleet vehicles meet safety and quality assurance requirements.
Prepare and submit compliance reports to relevant authorities and internal stakeholders.
Support the onboarding process for new drivers and fleet operators by providing guidance on FORS standards.
Assist in developing training materials related to compliance procedures and quality assurance protocols.
Monitor industry regulations and updates related to fleet safety, incorporating changes into existing policies.
Manage ongoing compliance with FORS Bronze, Silver and/or Gold requirements.
Prepare for FORS audits, monitor action plans and maintain supporting evidence.
Monitor operator-licence undertakings and applicable transport legislation.
Review drivers' hours, working-time records, tachograph data and infringements.
Oversee driver-licence checks, training records and competency requirements.
Monitor vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, defect reporting and servicing records.
Conduct internal compliance audits and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain accurate fleet, driver, incident and training records.
Investigate accidents, near misses and compliance breaches.
Produce compliance reports and key performance indicators for management.
Liaise with drivers, transport managers, maintenance providers, auditors and enforcement bodies.
Support improvements in road safety, fuel efficiency and environmental performance.
Deliver compliance briefings and promote a positive safety culture.
Ensure an effective handover at the start and end of the maternity-cover period.

Essential requirements

Practical experience in fleet, transport or operator-licence compliance.
Strong working knowledge of FORS standards and audit requirements.
Understanding of drivers' hours, tachograph rules and working-time legislation.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and defect-management requirements.

Skills

Strong understanding of fleet management, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes.
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and implement effective compliance strategies.
Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience with compliance management software or databases is advantageous.
